Our extensive gardens — over two acres in total — offer a peaceful, secure and stimulating environment where residents can enjoy the freedom to walk, sit, or simply take in the fresh air.
With doors always open during the day (unless it’s dark or raining), residents are free to explore the grounds at their own pace — safely and independently.
Our gardens are carefully maintained and full of life. They wrap around the house and include:
Rolling lawns and shaded paths
A fragrant rose garden
Colourful flowerbeds throughout the seasons
A walled fruit and vegetable garden
A chicken house, which is always a favourite with residents and visitors
A greenhouse and potting shed for those who enjoy gardening
Whether taking a stroll, stopping to watch the birds or sitting with a cup of tea, there is always something to enjoy. The layout is fully wheelchair accessible, so no part of the garden is out of reach.
There are plenty of quiet corners to sit and enjoy the views, as well as verandas and a conservatory that offer sheltered spots to relax. These spaces are also perfect for hosting visits from family and friends. Arrangements can be made for birthday celebrations or other events.
Our outdoor spaces aren’t reserved for special occasions. They’re an everyday extension of life at Wardington House.
Residents can walk outside when they choose — to get some fresh air, greet the chickens, or enjoy the seasonal changes in the garden.
