Food & dining

Tasty, nutritious meals

At Wardington House, meals are more than just food. They are a source of comfort, enjoyment and choice.

Our kitchen is at the centre of the home. Our staff cook and serve freshly prepared meals. The focus is on offering tasty home-cooked meals that meet individual preferences and dietary requirements.

Residents choose when and where they want to eat, and what they would like. Our team is happy to provide breakfast in bed, a midday snack or a full cooked supper as well as meals at regular times

What to Expect

  • Home-cooked meals every day, prepared on-site by our dedicated kitchen team
  • Flexible mealtimes —Meals are provided at set times but if residents wish to eat at another time of their choosing, this is absolutely fine
  • Choice of dishes — including favourites and familiar foods
  • Special dietary needs catered for, including vegetarian food, specialist diets for those with allergies or difficulty swallowing
  • Support with eating — kind, skilled  assistance for those who need help with feeding

Afternoon tea is served with fruit, homemade cakes and sandwiches. If a resident fancies a cup of tea (or even a steak and kidney pie) at an unusual hour, they only need to ask.

A social occasion — or quiet time

Some residents enjoy eating with others, while others prefer a quieter setting. Whether in the dining area, a sitting room, or in their own room, mealtimes are flexible and personal.

Visitors are always welcome to join for a meal — whether popping in for lunch or celebrating a special occasion with their loved one.
