Our calendar is filled with special moments, both big and small. The annual summer Garden Party is a highlight — with live music, stalls, games, and plenty of tea and cake, it brings together residents, families, and local friends in a truly festive atmosphere. Christmas is equally special, with bell-ringers, carol singers and a joyful party that fills the home with warmth.
Throughout the year, we host musical performances, themed days, and visiting entertainers. Every event is designed to be inclusive and enjoyable, whatever a resident’s interests or needs.
We love an excuse to celebrate. Birthdays are always marked with a cake, a song, and time spent with loved ones. Residents enjoy regular outings too — from scenic minibus drives to pub lunches, park visits, garden centres and local attractions. The outings are relaxed, well-supported, and available to all, whether someone is mobile or uses a wheelchair.
Spontaneous treats like the arrival of the ice cream van or a visit from friendly animals also bring smiles and spark conversation.
Families are a vital part of life at Wardington House. Visitors are welcome at any time of day convenient to the person they are visiting. Whether popping in for lunch, joining a celebration or taking a loved one out for the afternoon, we make it easy for families to stay connected.
We’re also happy to host special occasions, such as anniversaries or get-togethers. Grandchildren, pets and friends are always welcome, and refreshments are readily available.
